April 30th, 2009 — PLR articles
Alice and Mila from All Private Label Content just released a free 9-pack PLR bundle centered around being a mom.
With each article there’s a suggestion for affiliate programs you can use to monetize the content.
The articles cover a wide variety of mom-related topics such as teen communication, organization, breakfast and dinner, relaxation, toddlers and being a WAHM.
I just downloaded my pack and will go over it tonight to see how I can best put it to use.
April 26th, 2009 — PLR articles
(Initially this post started out as a follow up to a post I made about some poor quality PRL content had gotten my hands on – but as I kept writing it ended out more or less being a review because I found so many interesting things to write about this PLR website)
After my recent “exposure” to an example of bad PLR content I decided to look around to see if I could find a source with good quality and one of the first I came across was a PLR content site by Alice Seba and Mila Sidman called All Private Label Content.
I know both Alice and Mila from “ages ago” in Lynn Terry’s Self Starters Weekly Tips Forum so none of them are newcomers to the internet marketing world and I have great respect for the quality mindset these girls/women/moms possess.
One of the great things about their PLR site is that from time to time they release a free PLR pack within a certain niche.
From a buyers perspective this is excellent because you get to sample the goods before handing over the dough.
Grabbing the free samples from several niches gives you an excellent opportunity to
- Get some free PLR articles to add to your marketing arsenal
- Get an idea of the quality of the paid PLR articles they offer
- Get an idea if any of their niches are perhaps below par.
The free sample PLR packs are not linked from the frontpage, but I’ve managed to dig out a few sample packs for you – including the brand new Craft PLR pack that was released about a week ago.
I’ve downloaded a few of their free PLR bundles and the articles inside are of excellent quality.
Readable and correctly spelled proper sentences.
It’s the type of articles that you can re-write in a few minutes to get you that “quality content with a twist of me”-feeling instead of spending hours trying to de-construct the sentences and end up throwing it all away because it’s less work to actually do the research yourself and write an article from scratch.
Another great thing Alice and Mila have done is to break up their PLR articles so you can have access to a subset of the articles at a reduced price. That way you don’t have to pay for articles in a niche that you have no intention of entering into.
Broad Niche Memberships
The first way they’ve sliced it is into 4 different memberships:
These are the broad niches with articles in a lot of different sub-niches. Perfect if you need PLR content in one of those broad niches.
Article Bundles
The next way they’ve sliced it is into specific niche article bundles.
I’m not going to list all the niches because there are a lot, but visit the site and scroll down until you get to “Article Bundles: A Quick Shot of Great Content ” for a listing.
Example article bundles are:
It’s not a membership where you get fresh new articles each month, but it’s simply collections of articles within a specific niche.
Mini-memberships
Another way they’ve made some of their content available is through mini-memberships.
The mini-memberships are more niche-specific than the regular memberships but contain less articles per month – and cheaper than the broad niche memberships.
So far there are only Travel and Craft Mini-memberships available.
Press Release Template Packs
If press releases isn’t something you’ve bothered with before because “it’s only big companies that does press releases” then you might want to rethink your strategy.
Good thing is that Alice and Mila have a bunch of different Press Release Template Packs available to choose from. It’s not exactly PLR related, but it’s definitely business-related.
Recipe Bundles
A neat way to add content to your site without it having to be a “real” article is to add recipes.
Recipes are obviously not for every type of PLR-based site, but there are many sites where specific niche recipes fit in nicely.
Each recipe bundle is 30 recipes which equals one new recipe for your site every second week for more than a year.
Example recipe bundles are Vegetarian Recipe Bundle and Kids Recipe Bundle
Research bundles
Research bundles are right for you if you would rather write your own content from scratch but would like to cut out the idea and research part of the equation.
Example research bundles are Web 2.0 Research Bundle and Article Marketing Research Bundle
Conclusion
All in all a great site with something for everybody – and based on the most important ingredient when it comes to a professional PLR business – quality content.
The best thing really is that you can get the exact amount of PLR content you need – One-time purchase vs. monthly membership – broad niche vs. specific niche
Alice and Mila gets a 100% personal recommendation from me for All Private Label Content
April 24th, 2009 — PLR articles, PLR ebooks
Today I was going over the content of this weeks Theme Pack at Daily Niche Idea and I’m so disappointed.
When you publish PLR material you can either go the easy way and just blindly resell PLR content that you’ve acquired.
Or you can go the equally inexpensive way and hire somebody to write your PLR content for you for next to nothing and then take the poorly researched material complete with grammar and spelling errors and sell it.
Or you can go for quality content by evaluating each and every PLR article you write or hire somebody to write to make sure that it’s correct and in an understandable language.
So when I looked through the Theme Pack today I was very surprised that the files were timestamped 2006.
Now, if you write timeless PLR articles – articles that are equally useful today as they will be in 5 or 10 years – the age doesn’t matter.
But when you release PLR content about technology for instance then you have got to do it while the content is still correct and timely.
When I looked further into the material it talked about making sure I had the latest version of a specific software program – “Version 4.7 or higher” – but today that piece of software is version 8 and have gone through numerous versions.
So essentially I’m sitting with a PLR product that I don’t want to promote because it’s outdated. And I can’t use it as the foundation of my own articles because it’s not up to date.
I wouldn’t even use it as a free bonus if I had a site related to that niche because that would completely undermine my authority.
So, pay attention to the PLR content you get your hands on so you don’t end up looking like a fool when you release it under your own name.
P.S. Daily Niche Idea is a free resource so it didn’t hurt my wallet – only my pride – to see that kind of low quality PLR material

Mack Michaels has an interesting wealth building club, but he did something on his sales page than I can’t remember having seen elsewhere.
He’s put together an 18 minute video walkthrough of what the club looks “on the inside”. Just search (CTRL+F) the page for “Click Play To See A Live Walkthrough” to find the right video on the page.
It’s a great way to move away from just bulletpoints on sales pages and actually SHOW what people will be paying for when they join.
His club isn’t specifically about PLR but if you watch the video and drag the slider to 10:00 you get a glimpse of alot of what Mack call them Turnkey Products and they are part of the bonus. You’ll also find a few interesting ideas at 9:10 in that video.

Have you ever looked through your website stats to see what people actually do upon arriving at your site?
What do people do after following one of the PLR articles you rewrote and uploaded to an article directory?
Some look around, some will find your newsletter subscription box or your RSS feed – but in the end they all leave your site.
How about capturing people as they leave with whatever offer, free download, subscription or discount you like?
Would be great, but do you know how to code that stuff?
If you can’t code it yourself then you don’t have to, because it has already been coded for you.
Watch the below to learn what the ExitSplash script can be used for.

There’s also a more “sinister” way to capitalize on your PLR content.
Sometimes you get your hands on PLR articles that are quite frankly horrible.
You can spend time editing these PLR articles to something of a quality you want associated with your name, but you can also just upload them in their raw state to your own low quality article repository and then use the ExitSplash script to capture people leaving your site.
